The Drop Daily with RJ Bee
2 Things You Need To Know for Friday, May 29th

1. New Show! Past, Present, Future, Live! We’re very happy to announce a new show. This is unlike any show we’ve developed before, which is part interview, part performance. Every week, we’ll be talking to an artist about their past, from their first musical memories to their first paid gig, the present, what they’re doing now, and the future, including what things these artists still want to do. And then at the end, we hear a few tracks that have defined the artist’s musical journey. The show premieres next Tuesday, June 2, and the first 4 guests are Eric Krasno, Rhett Miller, Marco Benevento and Ted Leo. Every week, the performance videos from the episode will be posted on our YouTube page. Check out the trailer in the show notes now, and subscribe so you don’t miss it—you can get it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.

2. Ekoostik Hookah Interview and Stream Announcement! I had the pleasure to talk to Dave Katz, one of the founding members and the real heart behind the band Ekoostik Hookah. I have been listening to them for a long time, and got to talk to Dave about a special two-night stream they have coming up this weekend. This is a replacement for the Memorial Day and Labor Day Hookahville, which you’ll hear about in the interview with Dave that’s coming at you right now.,1304/ekoostik-hookah-05-2020-Spring-Hookahville-2020-Newark-OH.html
